Alternative Housing Models

Ireland is primarily a low density country. Every 3 out of 10 individuals live in rural areas, while the rest live in urban or semi urban areas,(CSO,2016). While the major chunk of properties are present in rural zoned land, the higher share of population is situated in urban areas. With the advent of population increase projected in the next 5-10 years , the present housing situation in the country is insufficient and unsustainable. The ideas we propose are a collection of thoughts to act as a stimuli to the future growth of Ireland and help accommodate the increase in population in a systematic way.
